Aneet is an Aesthetician and professional Make-up Artist who started professional development in India at a young age. She went to beauty school when she moved to Canada and took an aesthetics and makeup artistry program in Calgary and worked a variety of spa jobs.

Before moving to Prince George, she owned and operated her own successful aesthetic business in Surrey. Together with her husband and their daughters, the family moved to Prince George in 2013. "We thought we would just check it out and it turned out we love it totally," said Aneet.

Aneet loves that everything is easily accessible in Prince George. Aneet has noticed people in Prince George are willing to engage in conversation with others in this open-hearted and accepting community. She likes Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park and is happy that there are many nice little food places throughout the downtown core.

"I love the fact that there are so many women working downtown," said Aneet, who has felt a warm welcome from small business owners since opening her business, Girlfriends Brow Bar. "I love empowering women and sharing my knowledge," said Aneet. Aneet and her co-worker Preeti, both feel rewarded by the conversations that take place in their workplace with clients. "It's a safe space where we communicate with women and find out what they are looking for and we help them," explained Aneet. She believes in empowering women and improving the lives of the clients that enter her business and is humbled that so many women are repeat happy customers.

Aneet is grateful for the love and support of her husband and daughters and for the friendships she has formed at her business and in the community. When Aneet started this business she admits she had no business plan but did possess an open heart. The downtown Prince George community has rewarded Aneet and her business with their camaraderie, referrals and ongoing support.
